Kaila Kollective, a Scholarship Fund
The Story
Before her passing in the fall of 2021, Kaila Andrews touched the lives of everyone she met with a gift for bringing people together for the greater good. She made it her mission to live with her whole heart, and she cherished being surrounded by family and giving her time and energy to philanthropic projects whenever she could.
Kaila often said, “Live your life to the fullest” and this ethos shined through every aspect of her work and personal life.
Kaila was passionate about her career. She flourished as a highly successful recruiter at Google. Her dedication led Kaila to work through chemotherapy and receive a promotion in the midst of her treatment.
Of equal importance to Kaila was her devotion to the plight of the less fortunate, especially children. At Google, she helped organize a team-building charity event with “Together We Rise,” a leading innovator in foster care. She participated in countless volunteer and fundraising efforts. Among them was traveling to support building schools and creating educational opportunities in the Putsor Commune of Takeo Province in Cambodia.
In honor of her legacy, we have created The Kaila Kollective, a scholarship fund that provides tuition assistance to Segray families in need. Through the fund, Kaila’s memory will live on and continue to bring positivity to the lives of others.
How to apply
Recipients of Kaila Kollective scholarships for the 2024-25 school year, have been informed. Thank you to all who have applied. We seek to grow the program annually, and look forward to providing more families with the opportunity to attend Segray.
If you are interested in applying for scholarship support during the 2025-26 school year, please email scholarship@segray.com, or contact your preferred campus for more information. All families are welcome to apply for the scholarship, whether they are currently enrolled at Segray or not. Each year, the submission deadline is January 1st, with scholarship recipients notified by February 28th, and the scholarship beginning in August.

These pink beanies remind me of Kaila’s beautiful smile, and I hope that it has the same effect on everyone who supports The Kaila Kollective.”
